Do you ever feel like the standard weekly 45-minute therapy sessions just aren't cutting it in helping you achieve the life you truly desire?

  • You may feel that despite your commitment to therapy, something significant still lingers, leaving you wondering why progress feels slow in addressing the lingering effects of trauma or PTSD. While you may have intellectually processed some of your experiences, your mind and body remain caught in patterns of distress, leading you to explore more intensive therapy techniques.

  • Perhaps you've considered starting weekly therapy for trauma, but the demands of your busy schedule make it seem unmanageable, and the thought of waiting weeks or months for an appointment only adds to the frustration.

  • Alternatively, if you're currently struggling with trauma-related symptoms and seeking quicker relief, you might prefer an intensive therapeutic approach over the longer timelines of traditional weekly therapy.

  • If you're new to seeking treatment for trauma or PTSD, the idea of diving into an intensive EMDR program might feel appealing, offering a focused and immersive path toward healing and reclaiming your sense of safety and well-being.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective, evidence-based approach for addressing trauma and PTSD. EMDR focuses on the root cause of distress: unprocessed traumatic memories that are stored in the brain in a way that continues to trigger emotional and physical symptoms. Are you stuck in a cycle of intrusive memories, overwhelming emotions, or avoidance? EMDR provides a structured yet flexible framework to help reprocess these memories, so they no longer hold power over your present life.

EMDR therapy differs from traditional talk therapy in that:

  • It doesn’t require you to recount every detail of the trauma repeatedly.

  • It engages the mind and body through bilateral stimulation to facilitate healing.

  • It focuses on processing unhelpful beliefs and emotional responses tied to past experiences.

  • It allows for resolution of distress without prolonged exposure to the memory itself.

EMDR is a powerful integrative intervention, combining elements of cognitive, somatic, and experiential therapies to help you move toward healing and reclaim your life.

Feeling trapped by trauma or PTSD can make it seem like healing is out of reach, but that’s not the truth. Trauma doesn’t define your future, and recovery is absolutely possible.

Even with the weight of painful memories, you can build a life that feels safe, fulfilling, and full of joy. I’m here to guide you on the path to making that a reality.

Weekly Therapy May Include:

  • 10 mins follow up on the previous session

  • 25 mins of EMDR

  • 10 mins of closing

You might spend an entire month focusing on just one source of stress, which could cost you $1,000 for four therapy sessions a week.

However, in reality, challenges often arise between sessions, leaving you hesitant to wait until the next meeting to address them. Each session might also shift focus, making it difficult to make steady progress.

This could lead to several months of weekly therapy, driving up the cost, yet still not providing complete resolution for the stressor you're working through.

Intensive Therapy May Include:

  • 10-15 mins to check in & set the agenda

  • 2.5-3.5 hours of EMDR

  • 10-15 mins of closing

You could achieve significant progress, or even resolution, for one or more concerns in just half a day, which might cost around $900 to $3,000 total, depending on the session length. Spending 3-6 hours on EMDR therapy allows you to address trauma more efficiently, requiring fewer sessions overall.

This means you start feeling better much sooner. Additionally, you save money by needing fewer sessions to process and heal from trauma.

You also avoid taking more time off from work and personal tasks to attend regular therapy sessions.

Pricing

  • Monday - Thursday: $350 per hour

    Friday: $500 per hour

An initial 60 minute intake appointment is recommended to help prepare us for your intensive, and may be reimbursable by insurance.

Once your intensive is scheduled, I’ll reserve the half (90 mins to 3 hours) or entire day (4-6 hours) for your session(s). A deposit of 50% of the total cost is required at booking and is non-refundable. The remaining balance will be due at the time of the appointment.

Any additional integration sessions will be charged at my standard rate of $250 per 45-minute session. While I do not accept insurance, I can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider.

I offer complimentary phone consultations to discuss your needs and determine if a personalized intensive EMDR program is the right fit for you.

Once your intensive is booked, I’ll hold the dates for you for a week, during which I’ll require completion of paperwork via the client portal.

  • Many insurance companies, typically PPOs, offer partial reimbursement for therapy expenses. From an insurance perspective, I'm classified as an out-of-network provider.

It's advisable to clarify the specifics of your policy in advance, including the coverage for out-of-network providers and whether your insurance reimburses for multiple therapy sessions in one day or week.

I'll provide you with a Superbill detailing all therapy services rendered.

I'm more than willing to provide additional assistance in navigating this process.

  • Engaging in a 2-3-day Intensive for trauma and PTSD using EMDR can facilitate significant progress more effectively than relying solely on weekly 45-minute sessions. During this time, we will work through key trauma-related memories and targets, and more time may be needed to fully process and integrate the experiences.

During our initial consultation, we'll determine which format suits you best.

  • Even though all sessions are provided via telehealth, you do need to be located in the state of NH, ME or FL in order for me to work with you for an intensive.

  • Before starting intensive therapy, we'll discuss your goals and current challenges. During therapy, we'll use EMDR techniques to target specific trauma-related memories and experiences. We'll tailor the process to your unique needs, addressing both past and present issues. After therapy, we'll reflect on your progress and discuss how to integrate the healing and insights you've gained into your daily life.

  • If you're seeking profound therapeutic changes quickly, an intensive therapy session may be just what you need. Maybe you have some time off from work or school and you're interested in dedicating a portion of it to a mental health day. You could be preparing for a significant life event, such as a wedding, relocation, parenthood, or starting a new job or school, and want to ensure you're emotionally equipped. Alternatively, if you're already attending weekly therapy sessions but feel stuck or on the brink of a breakthrough, an intensive session could complement your ongoing therapy, providing a deeper level of support and exploration.
